As of Monday 20th April, we are using Seesaw, a secure online journal where pupils can document and reflect on what they are learning in class. Your child will be able to add the things we work on (including photos, videos, worksheets, drawings and voice recordings) to their Seesaw journal and we can share them privately with you and other family members to view and comment on throughout the school year.
The instructions for using SeeSaw can be downloaded here.
Click here for the SeeSaw login page.
When you login, activities for your child will be visible to the left of the screen. There will also be some options to the right. Under the 'inbox' option you will be able to see guidance from your child's teacher about the activities. Please click on this first. If you want to contact your child's teacher, the email addresses below can be used.
The new system has been designed to help your child learn as well as possible, it is not child care, you will need to interact with your child and help them at times. I appreciate that many of you have been balancing childcare with your own work commitments - please don't feel under pressure to complete all the work, just do what you can. While a computer and printer are helpful, it should be possible to access the work just using a mobile phone.
The system we are using is new to our teachers and we will refine and improve it in the coming weeks, so please bear with us while we get things right. We would love to share pictures on our weekly newsletter of what your children at home are doing alongside the children who are still attending. Please send to your child's class teacher or share with them via Seesaw.
Please keep email to normal working hours.
