The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Before and After School Club Co-ordinator to develop and lead our well-established wraparound club – Woosh.

17.5 hours per week during term time only. This position is a one year, fixed term contract.

The hours of work are 7:50 am till 8:40 am and 3:20 pm till 6pm, Monday to Friday. (17.5hrs).

Woosh Club is open from 8-8:40am and 3:30-6pm.

This exciting opportunity will entail taking ownership of the day to day organisation and operation of the club and leading it forward. Your focus would be the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging, creative and fun activities for the children, providing parents with a quality childcare option in a safe, caring environment. You will also be able to lead and motivate the other Play Workers to deliver welcoming, quality provision for our children.

Woosh Club is located on our school site and managed by the Headteacher. The administration and finance tasks are completed by the school.

17.5 Hours per Week

Key Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent childcare qualification 
• Experience of working with and caring for children 
• Able to communicate with people at all levels including the Head teacher, staff, parents and children 
• First Aid and Child Protection training 
• Knowledge of basic behaviour management 
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
