PE Grant

School Sport Funding

At Dunchurch Boughton CofE Junior School, we are committed to promoting the importance of good health and well-being for all of our children. We recognise the important role that Physical Education (PE) plays in this, as well as the positive influence it has on concentration, attitude and academic achievement.

What is School Sport Funding?

The government is providing funding of £150 million per annum for 5 academic years to enable schools to improve the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

How much money will we receive in 2016-17 for School Sport Funding?

Each school will receive £8,000 plus an extra £5 per pupil each year. Here at Dunchurch Boughton CofE Junior School that will mean £9,365 this year. The money can only be spent on sport and PE provision in school.
