Assessment and Results

2016 - 2017 Results

We are delighted with our end of key stage 2 results for the academic year 2016 to 2017, they reflect the dedication and hard work of all our pupils and the staff.

The table below shows that our pupils have achieved well above the national average in all areas and we have managed to increase the number of pupils reaching the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined. We are also pleased that so many of our pupils are reaching the higher standard in all areas.

All pupils take reading and spelling tests at the beginning of each academic year and reading, maths and SPAG test at key points in the year. In addition, during the school year, teachers make assessments of children’s achievement in the normal course of teaching and learning, to cover the full range of the National Curriculum, including writing.

In Year 6, at the end of Key Stage 2, pupils take part in the End of Key Stage Statutory Assessments in Mathematics, Reading and Spelling, Grammar and Puncuation, to enable teachers and parents to assess whether pupils are reaching the considered national standards.
