The school has strong links with the local community and the Parent Teacher Association plays a very active part in developing liaison between the staff, pupils, Governors, parents and friends of the school. Although the Association raises substantial funds to help finance school projects, it is not intended as being purely a fundraising instrument. A whole range of regular and varied social functions are arranged to help strengthen the bond between parents and school.

The committee usually meets once every 6 weeks at the school and the meeting lasts for about an hour. They make decisions about forthcoming events and how funds are spent.

The next PTA meeting will take place on: TBC

The PTA are always looking for willing volunteers to help with events, from serving refreshments at the school disco to decorating Santa's grotto for the Christmas Fayre. If you have any hidden talents or ideas that could be used for fundraising activities, or could spare any time to help (even if you cannot attend PTA meetings), the PTA would love to hear from you. You do not have to commit yourself to every event or meeting, any time you could spare would be greatly appreciated, however short.

The recent school discos were very well attended once again, and the children all enjoyed the evening. This event raised £328.45.

The Family Photo Shoot which took place on 5th November was a great success, with £110 raised for the PTA.

The recent family Bingo night was very successful and enjoyed by all. This event raised £92.20

The final total from the 2015 Christmas Fair and hamper raffles was an incredible £2522!

How the PTA contribute to school:

2011 - £2,000 for re-surfacing and marking of the playground

2015 - £2,000 donated towards a project of a fenced sports pitch with AstroTurf and all-in-one waterproofs for the forest area

In the past the PTA have also purchased cameras for each class and funded furniture for the ICT suite.

This is a fantastic achievement and wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of the PTA and generous support from families and friends.

The PTA would like to thank parents for their continued support and hope you can help raise more much needed funds during this year.
