Absence from school Back
A telephone call by 10.00 am (01788 811028 - please leave a message if the line is busy) is required to explain or request an absence. A written note of explanation is also required if there is any reason, medical or otherwise, for your child not participating in PE, games or swimming. Written messages should normally be addressed to the class teacher.
If you wish your child to leave school during the day, for any reason, then we must have a telephone call or written message. In the interest of your child’s safety, if there is no communication then he/she will not be allowed to leave the premises.
Holidays in term time
We strongly discourage the taking of holidays in term time as it has a disruptive effect on children’s learning. In accordance with DfES guidelines, holidays will only be authorised in special circumstances, and holiday forms must be completed in advance.
