School meals are available at our school and are very popular. They are prepared on the premises using a choice system.

Payment for meals should be made on a daily basis (a cash till is in operation in the dining hall) and they cost £1.65 per day from September 2008. The money should be sent in a named purse that the class teacher keeps in a locker in the classroom. This is kept locked until lunchtime. If preferred, payment may be made half termly or weekly, in advance, with cheques made payable to `Warwickshire County Council`. Children whose parents receive Income Support or Income-Based Job Seekers allowance are entitled to free school meals* and every effort is made to avoid causing embarrassment to these pupils.

Facilities are provided for children with packed lunches and children eat in the dining hall or outside, weather permitting, under supervision.  Your co-operation is sought on the following points:-

the container used to bring lunch to school is clearly marked with your child’s name

  • only plastic drink containers are permitted
  • no sweets or nuts are allowed

If a child forgets his/her packed lunch and parents cannot be contacted, then the school will provide a meal that must be paid for the next day. Free fruit is currently provided at Breaktime. Children may bring their own snack as long as it is fruit or vegetable.

*If you think you may be eligible for free school meals, please contact the school office for a form, or click here for more information and details of how to apply. Alternatively, you can ring 01926 742060
