Year 5 Tudor Day - Autumn Term 2008              Back

Throughout the autumn term the children in year 5 will be researching the Tudors. So far, as part of their work they have taken part in a Tudor activity day organised by Henry VIII (Mrs Miller) and Jane Seymour (Mrs Read).

The children were able to cook Tudor soup, write with a quill pen, make a Tudor ruff, weave and paint a portrait. A grand banquet was held in the afternoon; soup and bread was served by willing parents as the children entertained the king and queen with a variety of music, dance and drama.

During lessons the children have written instructions, detailing how to be a Tudor Monarch and they are currently building Tudor houses.
