At the start of April the children in year 5 visited Wales as part of their Geography work. Each class spent an exciting three days exploring the beaches, rivers and mountains in North Wales.
They had the chance to climb part way up Snowdon, learning all about the changeable weather conditions first hand as it hailed, rained, snowed and on occasions the sun broke through.
On the second evening a local wildlife enthusiast brought in four birds of prey to show the children. They asked endless questions and learnt all about the habitats, prey and roles of the birds.
On the final day the children walked part of a river course, observing the fact that it got wider as it approached the lower course and eventually the sea.
