Year 4 Roman Day Out 2009

On Friday October 2nd, as part of our work on Romans, Year 4 had an exciting Roman Day out.
4L visited the Lunt Fort, Coventry in the morning, where we saw a reconstructed Roman Fort, dressed up as a Roman soldier, heard about the lives of soldiers at the fort, examined some artefacts uncovered at the site and more! Following a picnic lunch we travelled back to Rugby to visit the Art Gallery and museum. There we studied how the Romans lived, what they ate, wore etc., dressed up in a toga, touched real Roman pottery and explored many Roman objects. 4RB visited the Art gallery and museum in the morning, and the Lunt Fort in the afternoon.
