Music Contract Back
The school will provide a minimum of 30 lessons in the course of the academic year.
Lessons must be paid for in 3 instalments (first payment now due, if not already paid), within the first two weeks of each term. Non-payment will result in your child’s lessons being terminated.
Cost: £42 per term for group tuition
£64 for individual lessons
Recorder lessons are subsidised and termly fees will vary according to term length.
The number of lessons in each term may vary.
If, for reasons of off-site curricular activities (educational visits etc), your child misses lessons, an adjustment will be made to the summer term fees if it appears that he/she will not receive 30 lessons by the end of the academic year. We regret we cannot apply this concession for absence from lessons due to illness or occasions when the child forgets to go to lessons.
An instrument (other than keyboard or drum set) will be provided free of charge in the first year by County Music Service / school (subject to availability). After the first year, it may be possible (subject to availability) to hire an instrument from school, paid for on a termly basis. Otherwise, pupils will be required to provide their own instruments which can, if preferred, be purchased through school on a VAT free basis. It is advisable for the keyboard pupils to have a keyboard at home on which to practise.
Parents will need to provide all necessary music.
Parents must give a full half term’s written notice to terminate lessons, or pay a half term’s fee in lieu of notice. Notice to terminate must be given before the end of the previous half term as lessons are booked with County Music a full half term in advance and the school is liable for the full cost.
The school reserves the right to terminate lessons, if appropriate.
